The 26th anniversary RNLI Castlemartin Range walk/run, organised by Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild, takes place from Newton Tower, near St. Govan’s, Castlemartin Range, on Sunday, August 20, by kind permission of the British Army.

It’s a unique opportunity and venue to train for athletic events this summer in Pembrokeshire and raise money for the RNLI. Bring your families and enjoy the event in this stunning location.

The walk site is open from 10 am for registration to walk or run and for the novelty dog show. Enjoy the‘all day BBQ and refreshments.’ There is nothing like a one of the bacon rolls and a hot drink at Newton Tower at the beginning of the day at this event.

The novelty dog show starts at 2 pm this year. Please note the new time. Walk with your ‘sponsored dog’ before the dog show. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times during the event.

The walkers/runners start off at 12 noon. You may choose the four or eight-mile course. The British Army plan both courses for you.

All monies raised at this event go to the RNLI to equip RNLI volunteer crews in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The organisers look forward to seeing their regular and new supporters at this longstanding Pembroke Guild event. Sponsor forms are currently available. There is a charge of £5 to walk or run either course if you are not sponsored.

Ring Viv or Daphne for your sponsor forms on 01646 672168/01646 681437 or email [email protected] or send a message on Facebook RNLI Pembroke Ladies Guild.
