More Pembrokeshire children than ever have been given safety advice at this year's Crucial Crew.
Nearly 1,600 pupils are taking part in the annual two week event, which kicked off on October 7 at the Withybush Showground in Haverfordwest.
Organised by Pembrokeshire County Council, Crucial Crew teaches Year 6 pupils from across the county how to deal with various potential dangers and hazards.
Throughout the two week event, which ends today (Friday, October 17), professionals from several different agencies will be giving youngsters advice on how to stay safe on the road, on the beach, on farms and at home.
Now in its 15th year, the two-week event has hosted well over 20,000 children in Pembrokeshire over the years.
Clr. Jamie Adams, cabinet member for highways and planning, who visited the event, thanked all who took part for their commitment and regard for the safety of children in the county.
"The feedback we have is that the children enjoy it and learn valuable lessons," he said.
Pupils attending the event went home with a goodie bag with Crucial Crew baseball caps sponsored by Chevron.
Organisations taking part in this year's event were: Dyfed Powys Police; Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service; Maritime and Coastguard Agency; Pembrokeshire County Council's road safety unit, waste strategy section, school transport division and food safety unit; Western Power; Pembrokeshire Domestic Abuse Forum and the National Farmers Union.
Organisers would like to thank sponsors Chevron and PowerSafe for their financial support and also the support given by Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society.
