Pudsey Bear has been on a big adventure during September around the UK coastline, stopping off at all of Haven's holiday parks on the way to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

Visiting 36 parks and clocking up over 2,000 miles over 26 days, Haven used this event as another chance to get closer to their £200,000 target for the charity.

Pudsey has been travelling by all modes of transport; boats, floats, limo, go kart and even fire engines and putting on lots of shows and appearances on the holiday parks to raise awareness of the charity in the run up to appeal night.

This part of Pudsey's tour saw him travelling by open top double decker bus and kayak around the South Welsh coast. Kiln Park Holiday Park also raised money with a Guinness World Record for the longest game of pool to ever be recorded. Triumphing 72 hours, the team at Kiln Park have raised almost £5,000.

As well as this event, the Haven team have pulled out all the stops for BBC Children in Need, seeing teams scale peaks such as Merrick Mountain in Scotland, Snowdon in Wales and Mount Kilimanjaro, some team members taking on a bungee jump and one park participating in a quadrathlon.

On BBC appeal night, November 15, the Haven team will be going one step further by taking 100 lines in their call centre to take 'phone donations from the live show.

With the company's pledge to raise £200,000 for the charity in 2013, Haven's charity co-ordinator, Naomi Woodstock, says, "We have already hit our £200,000 target and still have lots of events and the appeal night left which is fantastic. We hope we've raised a great deal of awareness for the charity this year out on our holiday parks as well as having a whole lot of fun!"

Carrie Green, head of corporate Partnerships at BBC Children in Need, says; "We are delighted to be working with Haven in 2013, their support will help us in our mission to make a difference to the lives of children and young people across the UK."

With a big year in 2012 and an even bigger year in 2013, we cannot wait to see what Haven have in store for BBC Children in Need in 2014!
