Sir,
A Pembrokeshire County Council spokesperson claimed (Tenby Observer, July 7): "The decision to locate the library at Heywood Lane arose as a direct result of that consultation exercise in which members of the public were asked to suggest alternative sites for the facility."
Pembs CC appears to be claiming that an undisclosed number of people suggested Heywood Lane. But the consultation was about relocating the library to the Leisure Centre. The public did not know about the plans for Heywood Lane, so it is strange that anyone could have suggested this site.
What plans does Pembs CC have for the Adult Education classes, workshops, Citizens' Advice Bureau, the gym, exhibitions? If these are separated from the library it will result in great inconvenience to all those people who use more than one service.
