Our health service provides a professional and essential service day in, day out. My family received first hand the wonderful gift of our health service. This new year my husband was discharged from hospital having suffered a near fatal heart attack on December 29.
From the receptionists at Tenby Health Centre to the emergency service and the skilled response of the ambulance paramedics and the A&E staff and coronary care unit team at Withybush Hospital, all provided exceptional treatment.
My husband was transferred to Morriston Hospital where the cardiac specialist team provided the necessary surgical intervention This, too, was outstanding; the standard and delivery of care benchmarks the skills and experience of all involved.
The information supported us through a stressful time and all follow up appointments and informative literature provided by the British Heart Foundation are superb.
Through our local media, I wish to thank all parties involved. My family and I are indebted and proud of our national health service.
