Wanted - people with ideas for enterprising projects! If you live or work in the areas of Kilgetty, Begelly, Amroth, Jeffreyston, Carew or East Williamston, make sure your ideas for keeping more money in the local area are taken forward.
Attend an action planning meeting where ideas will be discussed by people from your community and locality. You can be a member of the group that decides which projects to include in the local entrepreneurship action plan.
Local people have already started the ball rolling. Two 'Plugging the Leaks' workshops led by PLANED were held before Christmas. At these ways of keeping money circulating locally were explored.
These included festivals and events; promoting and selling more local produce on the Internet; getting businesses to work together to share marketing costs; developing sports facilities for young people - and many more! The next stage is to put the projects into a plan, and then start to make them happen.
