Theatr Fforwm Cymru is hosting a three-day Professional Development Course which is designed primarily for professionals, individuals and organisations interested in developing the emotional literacy of children and young people. The courses create a fun, challenging and involving environment for all participants, where everyone can learn together, laugh together and most importantly talk together.
Whether you have little or no previous experience of forum theatre, you will find this course exciting and innovative. They use theatre, based on real stories and real issues to promote emotional literacy and active citizenship in individuals and communities.
The techniques used include a blend of circle time, forum theatre, interactive games, transactional analysis and open space technology. Anyone taking part, be it teachers, youth workers, community artists etc. will find this course both exciting and invaluable and will give everyone a chance to look at how best to incorporate emotional intelligence work into their busy day to day schedules.
The training takes place in the Stackpole Centre, near Pembroke, between October 31 and November 2, with comfortable single accommodation. Total cost is £375 which includes accommodation, use of leisure facilities and delicious meals.
