Western Power Distribution have apologised for a blackout in Pembroke on Tuesday.

At 3.30 pm, 1,276 customers went off supply after a third party, a contractor, damaged an underground cable while working in the Golden Hill area. No one was injured in the incident.

Within three minutes, 779 of customers were back on supply, with the majority of the remaining customers all back on within the hour. Ten customers, however, remained off supply until 7.57 pm.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers," said a spokeswoman for Western Power Distribution.
