What started out as a tentative daily painting project in August last year has become a bit of an obsession for local artist Guy Manning.

Postcards from Pembrokeshire is a project in which Guy creates a postcard-sized painting every day for a year.

Tomorrow (Friday, February 17) is the 186th consecutive painting.

“They are visual love letters from Pembrokeshire, in oil paint, on top of ground paint made from local soils. Every day is different, every day I paint a response to something around me: landscapes, still lifes, found things, a bird feeding in the garden.”

And they are incredibly popular, selling to collectors in Wales, the UK, mainland Europe, the USA and Australia.
