The Rosehill Pop Festival, planned for August Bank Holiday Monday, has been cancelled.

Due to have been staged at Rosehill Farm, Slebech, it is believed the event has been called off due to the massive policing bill facing the promoters, with the payment of a newly-introduced hourly rate and marquee accommodation and refreshments for the officers involved.

The event was due to have featured Blue, Girls Aloud, Jamelia and The Commitments.
