Joseph Lidbury was diagnosed with terminal cancer in late July last year, two weeks before his baby daughter, Lilly, was born on August 13.
Sadly, Joseph passed away just a few months later on November 1.
On February 28, Jennifer, Joseph's wife, organised a 12-hour sponsored pool and dart marathon at the Ivy Bush, Narberth.
A raffle was also held, prizes for which were donated by local businesses.
A total of £1,560 was raised during the event and the money has been used to purchase colour televisions, video players, DVD players and numerous other items at the request of the nursing staff on Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, where Joseph spent a lot of his time during his illness.
The remaining money, meanwhile, will go towards buying a reclining chair for the relatives room on Ward 10.
