Plaid Cymru Westminster Leader, Liz Saville Roberts MP said that if Reform UK have broken the law, they must be fully held to account.

This comes following an undecover investigation by Channel 4 where Nigel Farage and other senior members of Reform UK were filmed celebrating secret new foreign donations.

James Orr, Reform’s Head of Policy, and Dan Jukes, a close aide to Mr Farage, arranged for a US company to fund three influential polls that the party had commissioned ahead of Engalnd’s local elections in May.

The three polls cost £32,500 in total, but Reform did not know that the supposed donors behind the US company were an undercover team posing as a wealthy American and his UK-based son.

Bob Posner, a lawyer and former Chief Executive of the UK Electoral Commission, said there should now be a criminal investigation as “serious criminal offences” may have been committed.

Ms Saville Roberts said “this is the end for Farage”, stating: “Everyone knows that a fish rots from the head down. James Orr and Dan Jukes are nothing but tiddlers - this is the end for Farage.

“What this exposes is the belief within Reform UK that the rules don’t apply to them, and that they are somehow untouchable and unaccountable, with a contemptuous assumption that everyone else can be taken for fools.

“But a troubling pattern is emerging where Reform UK appears all too willing to be bought, regardless of the consequences or the rules. There must now be a full investigation, and if they are found to have broken the law, they must be fully held to account.”
