Tenby police are warning local businesses in the area to be wary of any 'phone calls they may get from advertising agencies stating that they are affiliated with the police.

A police spokesperson said: "Some of these companies are known to use heavy sales techniques and will ask for bank details etc.

"Dyfed Powys Police are not affiliated to any cold calling advertising companies and the advice to the public is not to enter into discussion with them and certainly not to part with any personal or bank details."
