Police are urging local residents to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries and thefts. In one incident, two Stihl chainsaws were stolen from a garden shed at Mill Lane, Narberth, sometime between 1 pm on Friday and 11 am on Monday, while an attempt was made to enter a shed in the Bridge Villas area of the town, sometime between 8 pm on Saturday and 11.30 am the following morning. Meanwhile, handheld power tools were stolen when two builders vans were broken into at Providence Hill, sometime between 5.30 pm on Friday and 7.45 am on Monday. An attempt was also made to break into two stable blocks in the same area over the weekend, possibly over Saturday night into Sunday morning. Nothing is believed to have been stolen, but damage was caused to padlocks. But in another incident, a red Kawasaki petrol strimmer and a planer with yellow plastic around it on a black metal table with wheels, valued at £800, were stolen during a burglary at a garage in Valley Road. A Cannondale mountain bike was also removed, but this was recovered from the rear of the Queen's Hall on Tuesday morning. Officers are appealing for anyone with information about any of the incidents or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the areas concerned to contact them at the town's police station in Jesse Road on 0845 330 2000. They are also warning local residents to be aware of these incidents and be wary of any suspicious cold- callers who may have items like the ones stolen for sale.
