The wedding took place on Saturday, at Stackpole Church, of Mr. Richard Lees MacKay and Miss Kelly Angharad John. The groom, who is awaiting a start date for a post as a police constable, is the son of Peter and Pauline MacKay, of 6 Gilead, Maidenwells, Pembroke, while the bride, a police community support officer, is the daughter of Mr. Paul John, of Cumbria, and Mrs. Joy Hussey, of New Zealand. Given away by her father, the bride wore a satin ivory dress with oyster detail and beading, rouched waist and embroidered detailed train. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and green orchids. Bridesmaids were Kayte John (bride's sister), Nikki MacKay (groom's sister), Zoe Rutter (bride's cousin) and Tracy Gullam (groom's cousin). They wore satin hunter green dresses with rouched waist detail and beading on the bodice. Best man was Neil Phipps (groom's best friend), while the ushers were Steven Mitchell, Martin Jones, Gareth Clark (groom's friends) and William Rutter (bride's cousin). The service was conducted by Rev. Roger Jones, with Chris Griffiths as organist. A reception followed at Wolfscastle Country Hotel. The couple are honeymooning in the Caribbean at Christmas. They will be making their home in Pembroke.
