Police are appealing for information after an elderly lady was approached in her home by a man offering to carry out gardening work.
The lady, who lives on the Cresselly to Jeffreyston road, was visited by the man at approximately 12.30 pm last Wednesday, February 20.
The lady agreed to the gardening and handed over a sum of money. However, the man drove away without doing the work.
The man is described as white, approximately six-feet tall and of slim build. He has short dark brown hair, is clean-shaven and was at the time wearing light coloured overalls and a white baseball cap with a green coloured peak.
"It is believed that he may have been driving a white Ford Transit van, and that two younger males were sitting in the van," commented a police spokesman.
