Elly’s Fun Day for Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital went ahead on Sunday at Pembroke Dock Quins Rugby Club despite the rain.

As many of the activities as possible were moved inside and there was a worry that no one would come, but in the end it was a great day, and it was fun!

The event was supported by some fantastic organisations who put on activities, like the VC Gallery, Springboard, Value Independence CIC, Tesco, Pembroke Dock, and Pembroke and Pembroke Dock ABC.

Some excellent entertainment from local band 4coustic, magic by Dave Hitchcott, dance from The Vibe School of Dance, face painting by Tara Jenkins and Alais Winton, amazing balloon modelling by Stuart from Little Monsters and small animals with Kara from EduPets.

This was all backed up by Pembroke Dock Fire Brigade and the Neighbourhood Police Team, as well as St. John Ambulance, and amazing coffee by The Bean.

Thanks go to all the businesses that provided some excellent raffle prizes. Huge thanks, though, must also go to Clr. Tony Wilcox who provided the venue, and all the people who gave their time and services for free for Elly’s Flag.

The fun day was great and, despite the weather, an amazing £834.55 was raised for Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital. This also helped to take Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal past £16,000 raised.

“Everyone we spoke to said they had a good time, so I think there will be more events to come,” said Elly’s dad Lyn.
