Sir,

May I once again through the medium of your columns appeal to the ever generous folk of Tenby and district for their support during RAFA Wings Appeal week, September 9-15.

The appeal is the lifeblood of the many welfare services provided by Royal Air Forces Association funds for needy serving and ex-service personnel and their dependents

With an aging ex-service population and the continued active operations by the Royal Air Force, the calls on these funds increase yearly.

The Battle of Britain commemorations serve to honour all members of the Royal Air Force who have given their all since the conception of the service to the present day throughout the globe.

In addition to contributions, there is an urgent need for anyone who would like to give an hour or so of their time as street collectors; please contact Mr. Harold Johns, Wings Officer, on (812897).

The annual Battle of Britain commemorative service is to be held in St. Mary's Church, Tenby, on Sunday, September 15 (by kind permission of the Rector, Canon David Jenkins). A cordial invitation is extended to everyone.

Let the many keep faith with 'the few'.

Wilf Hardy,

Chairman,

RAFA Tenby.
