Sir,
I was interested to read recently about the ‘loss’ of Greenhill School’s librarian and the library itself.
I cannot make out whether the author of PCC’s letter in last week’s edition of the Tenby Observer is from County Hall or from Greenhill School itself.
The letter from PCC was misleading for anyone interested in keeping the librarian in post and, thereby, keeping the library open. My sources reveal that the librarian has had no ‘stay of execution’ and that the post is still going to be axed.
That will mean another key resource finishing at Greenhill School in a time when reading and literacy are supposed to be top of the agenda educationally. They have already lost drama, which was a crying shame.
Please, please can we have the truth, and nothing but the truth, from all concerned before yet another important resource goes down the drain without a fight?
