Talis Spence, who is a piano pupil of Jan Hartzell, passed her grade 5 piano exam with distinction. She is a pupil at Saundersfoot Primary School and will be be going to Greenhill School in September.

Talis also was the overall champion in the Pembrokeshire Schools Instrumental Festival in May, sponsored by Chevron, and was the winner in the Young Musician of Saundersfoot competition, sponsored by the Saundersfoot Rotary Club.

In The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music exams, pupils of Jan Hartzell passed in the following:

Piano - Chloe Gilbert, grade 7 with merit; Claudia Belli, grade 4 with merit; Jan Zanato, grade 4 pass; Dominic Belli, grade 3 with merit; James Crowney-Richards, grade 1 with merit; Leo Zanato, grade 1 pass; Madison Nye, prep test pass.

Jazz piano - Jack Stacey, grade 5 pass; Chloe Gilbert, grade 3 with merit.

Theory of Music - Bethan Jones, grade 5 pass; Joshua Tyrrell, grade 5 pass.
