A review of altering a 20mph stretch of road between New Hedges and Saundersfoot back to 30mph has been scrapped for the time being.

The proposal to change the road speed limit along the B4316 back from 20mph to 30mph had been queried by local councillors and residents too.

Giving an update, County councillor for Saundersfoot’s south ward, Cllr Chris Williams stated: “Regarding the ongoing discussion around speed limits on Broadfield Hill entering Saundersfoot, I can confirm that the proposed changes from 20mph to 30mph have currently been withdrawn pending further discussions.

“The New Hedges and Saundersfoot area will now be reviewed again following additional engagement with elected members, and any revised proposals will be brought forward in due course.”
