Potholes continue to be a concern for the seaside village of Saundersfoot.
County councillor Chris Williams said that a ‘comprehensive programme’ of resurfacing works was being undertaken on Fan Road, stating: “This work has been ongoing for several weeks and includes raising drains, cutting back damaged sections, and resurfacing properly rather than relying on temporary patching. This should provide a far more durable and long-term solution.”
Cllr Williams has also requested that a similar standard of work be considered at two further locations - outside Saundersfoot School on Frances Lane, where repeated patching has failed to resolve significant potholes at both ends of the road; and on Sandy Hill Road at the junction with Moreton Road, where heavy traffic levels continue to cause deterioration despite previous repairs.
