Works to a Grade II listed flat located within the Tenby conservation area were approved by members of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s development management committee at a meeting last week.

The application from Mrs. Julie Evans, for works to the rear wing of Albert View, located in St. Julians Street, including alteration of fenestration and provision of roof-lights, went before the committee, because the owner of the building is related to a member of the authority.

Tenby Town Council had offered no objection to the plans, but had expressed concern that this again appeared to be a case where the development was already being undertaken prior to planning permission being granted.

Case officer Rob Scourfield said that the proposed scheme was considered to be in keeping with the character of the listed building, and its setting in terms of design and form, and as such, the application could be supported subject to conditions.

When put to the vote, members of the committee unanimously approved both the full and accompanying listed building applications.
