A recommendation to dispose of land in Tenby which had been outlined as a potential site for housing has been given the go-ahead by members of Pembrokeshire County Council’s cabinet.

The Brynhir site which is approximately 6.35 hectares and had been designated for housing (168 units), with up to 50 per cent affordable housing, was promoted and included in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s adopted Local Development Plan as a potential site for housing.

A report of the Director of Development, which recommended that the land be declared surplus to the council’s requirements and disposed of by means to be agreed, and on terms to be determined, went before members of the cabinet at their meeting at County Hall in Haverfordwest on Monday, with members passing the proposal.
