The Rainbows and Brownies of Lower Landsker District joined together in Saundersfoot last weekend for an afternoon of 'Pirate Fun'. They began by meeting in the Regency Hall for pirate drama and the scene was set with the scenery from Pirates of Penzance which was kindly organised by Saundersfoot Footlights. Then it was off to the beach in their teams for pirate games and a treasure hunt. After an enjoyable time on the beach, they all returned to the Regency Hall for tea and a campfire. Over 70 children came together from Tenby, Saundersfoot and Narberth, and all will receive a commemorative badge to wear on their uniforms. The new District is enjoying meeting together and in July the 2nd Narberth Brownies will be representing them in the final of a quiz organised by Girlguiding Cymru. These girls also won the Brownie Trophy against other packs in Pembrokeshire and they are wished well with the quiz. Girlguiding is very short of adult leaders at the moment and the movement is especially looking for help in the Tenby area. Please call 01834 811916 if you can offer some time.
