There was very good attendance, with nice sunny weather, at Cresswell Quay on Friday, when a Pig Roast was held for the benefit of the Jeffreyston Group of Parishes. Thanks were expressed to Maurice and Janet Cole, of the Cresswell Arms, for sterling help; also to George for all his hard work in carrying and arranging the stalls and seating. Thanks were later said to all who helped and contributed in making this main fund-raiser, for the four churches, such a success. Proceeds to the churches were: East Williamston £261; Jeffreyston - Tony's raffle £300, Welsh cakes £64, cake stall £172.50, bric-a-brac/books £65.05, pig roast £849.51, total - £1,451.06; Loveston - £215; Reynalton - £341.16.
