An exhibition of photography by David Wilson entitled 'Pembrokeshire: Beauty and the Bleak' opened at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, yesterday (Thursday). This body of work captures the subtlety and drama of the light in Pembrokeshire, focussing mainly on the coast and Cleddau Estuary. "I've shot it throughout the seasons and I've just tried to capture all those different moods that Pembrokeshire has," said David, who earlier this year won the WDA award for 'Best Print On Industry In Wales'. Director of the Queen's Hall Gallery, Lynne Crompton, said: "David's really caught the mood of our county with this collection of photographs, and shooting mostly in black and white has added a real sense of drama." David will donate 25 per cent of any proceeds to the Spinal Injuries Unit at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff. A former patient, David, said: "That place literally put me back on my feet and it's always been my aim one day to repay a little of what I owe for all the help and kindness I received while a patient." The exhibition runs until Saturday, November 20.
