Anyone who has been offered a second hand mobile telephone with no charger recently is asked to beware that they could be handling stolen goods.
The 'phone, a dark blue Nokia 3310, has been stolen from a child, whose mother contacted the Observer this week, in a bid to trace it.
The theft has been reported to the police and the handset has been blacklisted by major networks.
