At the recent meeting on Wednesday, 29 October, members were pleased to welcome several visitors who had come especially to hear guest speaker, Rebecca Naden.

The leader, Iris Taylor, welcomed everyone and then proceeded to take the service.

Iris then welcomed the speaker, Rebecca Naden, a professional sports photographer.

Rebecca began by telling a little of her background and then showed some of her favourite photos on screen. She then provided the background to some of them and her stories were absolutely fascinating. Members could have spent a lot longer listening to her and it is hoped that she will be able to come back again.

Rebecca was brought up in Penally, went to Penally school and is proud to be a daughter of Penally, and all in Penally are duly proud of her, a very successful Penally 'Crow'.

The meeting ended with teas and cakes provided by Doreen Axon and served by various members.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 26, when Lindy Wainwright will give a sugarcraft demonstration. A warm welcome to all.
