Penally History Group continues to research the service men and woman would went to serve in the Great War or World War 1 (writes A.J.). We have uncovered more people taking our list of serving people to over 100 and information continues to come to light from many different sources about the places and ways in which they served. If anyone has any information about anyone from Penally who contributed to the war effort 1914-1918, the group would like to hear from you please. Our monthly community workshops have been helped by the purchase of several pieces of technology that will not only help with our research and archiving but also in our exhibition in September. We now have an up-to-date Mac computer, together with a scanner both of which are being fully used! To help us record information, we have a digital voice recorder that has proved so useful when talking to people and ensuring that we archive everything correctly. The equipment could not have been sourced and bought without the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund that we are grateful to. We are building towards our exhibition on September 20 and 21 - come along and visit the village hall and take a village walk! Leaflets for the walk are available around Penally, Saundersfoot and Tenby and promise the village from a different viewpoint for many!
