Next weekend, Penally History Group will be staging an exhibition in the village hall, the theme of which is, '1913 - The Year Before The World Went Mad'.

Group members have each researched particular aspects of life in Penally in that year.

Although still primarily an agricultural village, many Penally villagers were closely connected with the flourishing holiday resort of Tenby only a mile away. They could find work there in the many shops and hotels and in doing so were able to mix with visitors from other areas, but Penally still had a unique character.

That is the aspect the exhibition hopes to illustrate. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22, from 10.30 am to 7 pm. Entrance is free and refreshments will be available.
