CURRENTLY on the Pembrokeshire leg of a mammoth charity coastline trek around England, Scotland and Wales are Paul Barber and Wendy Bathard and their dog 'Havoc'. From Bovey Tracey in Devon, they are on week 28 of their incredible journey to walk clockwise from John O'Groats, covering a distance of over 5,000 miles in the process. Having set off last November, Paul and Wendy re- mortgaged their home and took time off work for the year-long walk, which will see all funds raised shared equally between two charities, the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the RNLI. Members of the Teign Valley Hash House Harriers, the charity trekking trio reached Amroth last Friday, before moving on to Saundersfoot and Tenby. They were greeted in Manorbier on Saturday by secretary of the Tenby and Pembrokeshire branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, Eva Rich. The couple's website updates everyone on their progress, with a link to a web page where people can sponsor their worthy causes.
