According to results from a national survey, Pembrokeshire and South West Wales are the most eco-friendly regions in Wales. The survey by sustainwales.com discovered that 57 per cent of those surveyed in Pembrokeshire are making a combination of small changes in their daily lives to live in a more sustainable way, such as walking as much as possible, buying local produce, energy saving and recycling. The survey was carried out to find out how the people in Pembrokeshire feel about sustainable living and where it is rated on personal living agendas. The results found that one in four people rated it top, and want to do all they can to make a difference. Helen Nelson, of Cynnal Cymru, the Sustainable Development Forum for Wales, behind sustainwales.com said: "These findings are very encouraging and shows that media messages are getting through to people." More people would choose to live sustainably if it was easier. According to the survey both men and women in Pembrokeshire would do more if they knew it was easy as opposed to seeing any financial or personal gains. The results also found that more than half of the people surveyed are doing more today to live sustainably than they did last year.
