Nearly a bus load of 24 members of Pembrokeshire Ramblers met last Saturday for a walk which started at Newport, with firstly a bus ride to Dinas. No doubt the bus company was grateful for the trade, even though over half the group used their bus pass! From Dinas, the task was to walk the eight miles back to Newport, mostly along the Coast Path, starting with the walk down the lane to Aber Bach. After the exhilarating walk around Dinas Head, the group stopped for lunch in the old ruined churchyard at Cwm-yr-Eglwys. The weather was not very kind, with some drizzle, but the sun came out briefly as they returned to Newport. This Sunday (October 21), there is a short walk (six to nine miles) around Roch and Brawdy Brook, starting at 11 am. For further details, ring Denise Sharples on 01437 710225. The following Saturday (October 27) there will be a long walk (10 to 14 miles), starting at 10.30 am and meeting at Bedd Morris Car Park. For further details, ring Graham Morgan on 01437 764770.
