During the 1970s, two Tenby members conceived the idea of a Pembrokeshire Association of Ladies' Captains and with support from other captains in Tenby and the rest of the county, the association was formed.

Members meet on the last Monday in April and the last Monday in September, playing foursomes in the Spring and singles in the Autumn.

This year, the Spring meeting was held at St. Davids and as usual there was a large representation from Tenby, so much so that Tenby members featured in all the winning teams, much to their delight.

Best gross: 1. Anne Wilks (Tenby), Celia Bartlett (Newport Links) 92; 2. Liz Storey (Tenby), Mary Christopher (Milford Haven) 93; 3. Ann Marsden (Tenby), Ann Williams (S. Pembs) 99.

Best nett: 1. Nesta Hart (Tenby), Barbara Phillips (Haverfordwest) 73; 2. Heather Morgan (Tenby), Ann Dassen (Trefloyne) 75; 3. Vera Davies (Tenby), Linda Kromerei (Trefloyne) 77.

This is always an enjoyable meeting and everyone who played is most grateful to St. Davids for their hospitality.
