February will see Jane Rees-Baynes, of Elm Grove Country House, St. Florence, step in to the role of chairperson for Pembrokeshire Tourism, the county's leading tourism trade association.

Jane is taking over from Tim Brace, of FBM Holidays, who stepped down in January after a successful two years in post.

Jane is the first female to undertake the role at Pembrokeshire Tourism.

"I feel extremely proud to be the new chairperson of Pembrokeshire Tourism and hope I can fill the very big shoes left by Tim Brace who has done a fantastic job for the last two years."

Jane is the third generation to run the family business alongside her husband Alan. Having over seven years experience within the tourism industry, she has a wide range of knowledge and skills to offer the organisation.

"Having grown up in the industry, and as a B&B owner myself, I have first-hand experience of the challenges that are faced by tourism related businesses, big and small. I hope to use this experience along with feedback from our directors and members to support the team at Pembrokeshire Tourism in providing an invaluable service to members."

Maudie Hughes, chief executive of Pembrokeshire Tourism, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Jane to the role of chairperson. She's already made a great contribution to the board of Pembrokeshire Tourism over the last year, and I'm looking forward to working with her and the board over the coming months."
