A series of events marked the signing of the Twf Welsh Language at Work Charter at the National Eisteddfod this week.

Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority both formally signed the Charter at Pentre’r Garreg Las, confirming commitment to promoting and supporting the Welsh language across its workforce and services.

Gaynor Toft, the Council’s Head of Housing and Public Protection also took part in an interesting Siarter Twf TUC Cymru panel discussion, detailing how authorities will commit to normalising the use of Welsh at work.

In the afternoon a reception was held at Pabell Pawb to mark the occasion of the signing and commitment to working in partnership with recognised trade unions to foster an inclusive bilingual culture where Welsh speakers, learners and those wishing to develop their language skills feel supported and encouraged.
