A Heritage Remembrance event will take place on November 6 in the Bethlehem Centre Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Local historian Heather Tomos has been undertaking research on the soldiers from the Newport area that lost their lives during the First World War.

Come and hear more about these brave men ahead of Remembrance Sunday at the event on Thursday, November 6 at 6.30pm in the Bethlehem Centre.

The Bethlehem Centre has now held over 24 heritage talks since reopening the doors on the old chapel back in March 2025. The recent talk on Newport by Martin Lewis had over 100 people attending the event.

The venue is proving a valuable community asset that is developing a Heritage Centre at the site.

The old chapel was bought by community heritage and cultural supporters in September 2024 and is awaiting the outcome of heritage grant bids to transform the chapel site into a modern heritage visitor centre.

People are encouraged to come along and support the community campaign.
