A Pembrokeshire eating establishment has been named ‘Best Asian Restaurant in Wales’.

Lokky’s which is situated at the Woodridge Hotel in Pentlepoir near Saundersfoot, scooped the accolade at the The Golden Chopsticks Awards, with proprietor Lok Cheung, his wife Jenny and their team attending an awards ceremony at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square this week.

One of the largest and most prestigious celebrations of Oriental food in the world, the awards were hosted once again by TV presenter Gok Wan, who is also a co-founder of the ceremony.

Lokky’s sister restaurant the Dragon Palace, which is also situated in Pentlepoir, was also crowned Wales’ top Chinese restaurant at the 2019 Golden Chopsticks Awards.

“Thank you to the The Golden Chopsticks Awards for awarding us the Best Asian Restaurant in Wales - That definitely has a nice ring to it!” Lokky’s posted on Facebook.

“We are truly humbled, it’s such a great honour to win such a prestigious award but it is also indicative of the amount of passion and hard work that all the staff at Lokky's have given this last year. You guys all deserve this!

“Thank you to all who voted to get us into the shortlist of three - but to actually win it…magical!”
