How long before her wedding do you advise a bride to book her make-up artist?

As soon as possible as I have many bookings and enquiries on a regular basis. Spring/summer is a particularly busy time.

Do you advise brides to have a make up trial? If so, how long before do you do it?

Yes, I like to offer a trial about four-six weeks before the wedding. I offer a complimentary trial for all my brides.

What products do you use?

As I am a freelance make-up artist, I use a wide variety of products from all the best brands in the business, e.g. Estée Lauder, Bellapierre and Chanel. I don’t have to stick to just one brand.

As well as make-up, do you offer any other beauty treatments?

I offer eyelash extensions for the bride also.

Are you able to visit the bride at the location of her choice?

Yes, I can go any where the bride would like me to go on the wedding day - home, hotel etc.

Roughly how long should a bride allow for her beauty treatments on the day of her wedding?

A bride should allow time to get ready and be pampered for make-up and hair to be done, so allow at least a couple of hours. You have to allow time to get into your dress and then just to chill and relax with a glass of bubbly.

Do you offer make-up etc. for the whole bridal party?

Yes, I am available to do whatever the bride requires. I can do the whole bridal party, bride, bridesmaids, flower girl, mother of the bride, and even guests. In my experience, the whole bridal party all like to have the make-up done.

What’s your favourite part of your job with regards to weddings?

I love my job; I am very passionate about what I do, I think it brings my creative side out. I love to see the bride’s face when she sees herself in the mirror for the first time all made up and looking beautiful! And, of course, seeing everything complete, bride in her dress with her hair, make-up and, of course, the lovely bouquet.

Why hire a make-artist on your wedding day?

Because a make-up artist can make you look and feel at your very best! Your make-up will look stunning in the photos, and will last you all day.
