Please can you tell us about Monddi?

Monddi is a multi-discipline design, web and print company based in Pembrokeshire. The parent company, Dimond Press, is a third generation family print business, incorporating a range of traditional letterpress type that we are using as part of our vintage wedding stationery service. Our aim is to create bespoke wedding designs and quality print services, which include the ever-increasing demand for traditional, contemporary and bespoke wedding stationery for your special day. Our individual, client-based approach helps to create a truly individual look to each piece of work we undertake.

How soon before their big do you suggest couples start thinking about their wedding stationery?

Thoughts of the wedding stationery style need to be thoroughly discussed before any design takes place, ideally six-nine months prior to the special day. Themes, if any, or definite styles - fonts, choice of card/paper, colours, etc, would be identified at the initial meeting. A good idea is to collate various wedding stationery styles you have seen, and to choose one or two in order to take to the designer meeting your specific needs. What wedding stationery do you offer?

Our range of wedding stationery offers a bespoke design and print service. From traditional to contemporary, vintage to specific themes, we will work alongside the client to ensure that their dreams become a reality. From a small,informal wedding to a large, traditional event, we can design and print to suit your requirements.

What designs are popular?

Wedding stationery styles change every few years, very much like fashion. Vintage and traditional with a contemporary twist has been a recurring trend with our clients over the last 12 months. From luggage tags, to cup cake themes, we can create an bespoke set of stationery in order to make your day truly unique. Original letterpress has also made a huge come-back over the past few years and we are lucky enough to have our own unique selection of both original woodblock and lead type, dating back from Monddi’s third generation print relationship with Dimond Press. We can also create very simple layouts for a clean, contemporary look, or produce a very traditional layout using thermography, which gives the text a slightly ’raised look.

Approximately what is the turnaround time once the stationery order has been placed?

Not only can we create bespoke design layouts, we can also print a range of high quality stationery to order. Our turnaround is usually between two-three weeks, once the design work has been approved. We allow for this length of time for printing, as every design is different. The timescale may depend on the complexity of the print finishing. Monddi prides itself on producing high quality print and design. Every client is special to us and works closely with the design team to assure that the end result is how it was envisaged.
