Pembrokeshire County Council are set to be questioned on the loss of street lights in rural areas across the county, adressing on going concerns in some communities.

A question submitted by Councillor Michael John [county councillor for the Llangwm constituency which covers Hook , Llangwm and Freystrop] to a meeting of full council on Thursday, May 8, sets out concerns on the loss of street lights in rural areas

“The loss of streetlights in rural areas is an issue which causes great concern to any members of the public affected, and one which is raised with me regularly,” Cllr John will ask.

“I believe it is an issue that a number of other members have raised and continue to raise with the department also.

“Given the policy was introduced around 2006, nearly 20 years ago, does the Cabinet Member agree it would be a good time for it to be reviewed?”
