A record figure of £32,756 has been raised by Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild for year ending December 2011 -made possible due to donations, a record year of souvenir sales by souvenir secretary Kath Klau, assistant souvenir secretary Maggie Pegg and Guild member Rose Phillips, generous supporters and sponsors providing venues for events, Guild members donating and working so hard and the priceless and loyal support of all in the locality yet again in 2011.
Your help in raising this remarkable figure for the RNLI is overwhelming and greatly appreciated by the Guild and the charity.
The Guild is organising some enjoyable events in 2012 which will be listed in this 'paper shortly.
RNLI 'SOS' Day is an annual national fundraising day for the RNLI and is usually the first for the volunteer fundraisers. This year, the funds raised will go towards new lifejackets for the crews.
Pembroke Guild member Mrs. Joan Giles has raised £166 already at her home serving supper to 24 guests. Guild member Mrs. Sandra Thompson is hosting two sittings daily for lunch on Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28, with a 'Special Sider and Soup' menu at her home, Upper Castleton House, Hundleton - only a few tickets left at £7.50.
