The president, Mrs.Rosie Allen-Mirehouse, opened the meeting and apologies were received from Mrs. I. Pippen, Mrs. J. McIntosh, Mrs. M. Pegg, Mrs. N. Surtees, Mrs. P. Cousins, Mrs. P. Simon.
The year was reviewed by both the president and the chairman, Mrs. N. Rogers.
The previous year's minutes were read and approved.
The treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Viv Kerrison, vice-chair, as Mrs. N. Surtees, vice-president and treasurer was unable to attend. Mrs. Kerrison gave detailed accounts to the committee present who were very satisfied to hear that they had been able to reach the highest annual figure in their 60 year history of £28,887.95, all made possible by local residents support at our events, Chevron Refinery, The British Army at Castlemartin for the annual walk venue, the owners of local country houses Cosheston Hall and Upton Castle, donations, weekly souvenir sales throughout the year and vital local press and radio announcements.
The very dedicated committee are so encouraged and appreciative by the continual enthusiasm in the community.
The election of new officers for the coming year then took place. Elected were: chairman - Daphne Bush; vice-chair - Mrs. Viv Kerrison; hon. treasurer - Mrs. N. Surtees; assistant treasurer - Mrs. Kath Klau; hon. minute secretary - Mrs Sandra Thompson; hon. secretary - Mrs. Tamzin Lewis; assistant secretary - Mrs. Viv Kerrison; hon. souvenir secretary - Mrs Kath Klau; assistant souvenir secretary - Mrs. Maggie Pegg; hon. press officer - Daphne Bush; assistant press officer - Mrs. Jennie McIntosh; collection box secretaries - Mrs. M. Byers, Pembroke, Mrs. M. Pegg, Pembroke Dock.
The president, Mrs. Rosie Allen-Mirehouse, remains in office, as will the vice-presidents, Mrs. Mary Monsen, Mrs. Norma Surtees and Mrs. Shirley Wheeler.
The annual general meeting closed with a surprise gift and celebration for the president, Mrs. Rosie Allen-Mirehouse, in honour of her RNLI gold badge award presented at The Barbican Hall in London on May 14 by HRH the Duke of Kent.
