At the recent town council meeting at Pembroke Town Hall, the annual Pembroke in Bloom presentations were made by the Mayor, Clr. Rose Blackburn. The competition had some new entrants this year which was pleasing as the council had tried to encourage more residents and businesses to take part. The photograph shows some of the winners with Clr. Blackburn and the town clerk, Phil Lloyd. The winners were as follows: Private gardens: 1. Mr. and Mrs Strangward, Turnpike Cottage, Holyland Road; 2. Mrs. Cotterill, 18 Merchants Park; 3. Mr. Clark, 9 Merlins Cross. Commercial: 1. Waterman's Arms; 2. Clouds Living Centre, Monkton; 3. Haven Christian Centre, Westgate Hill.
