Division One
With Carew only picking up three points at Saundersfoot, Neyland winning at Narberth and Cresselly dominating a drawn game against Haverfordwest the title chase is now back to a four horse race.
On a day when many matches were unable to start, the game at Saundersfoot was reduced to 32 overs per side.
After a quiet start due to economic bowling by Scott Helmich and Ton Richards the Saundersfoot duo of Ian Poole and Nick Cope demolished the Carew bowling attack, to race to 173-3, The pair added 80 for the third wicket with Poole hitting four sixes and six fours in his innings of 76 and Cope, a former Carew player, finishing on 67 not out with five sixes and four fours.
Paul Mansbridge had earlier scored 77.
In reply, excellent bowling by another former Carew played Simon Wood with 5-15 restricted the visitors to a total of 79-7, with Scott Helmich following up his bowling with 29 not out and opener Nick Scourfield scoring 21.
David Parcell took 2-6.
Following a delayed start at Narberth it was decided that the match would be played on a 34 overs per side basis.
The visitors, Neyland opted to bowl first and dismissed the home team for 124, despite the efforts of skipper Richard Adams with 42 and Marc Hughes with 20.
Patrick Hannon (4-36) and spinner Andrew Miller (4-28) did the bulk of the damage.
Neyland won by six wickets with a total of 127-4 following a terrific innings of 80 not out by Paul Murray supported by Gregg Miller with 29 not out.
In the basement battle at Herbrandston, the visitors Lawrenny scored 187 before being bowled out in the last over. Steve Lewis scored 93 with 12 fours and two sixes, supported by skipper Robert Williams with 24 and Hugh Griffiths with 20 not out.
Leigh Marchant took 3-38 and Dean John 3-48 for Herbie who were bowled out for the meagre total of 53 through a good team effort by the visitors.
Jonty Bennett resisted with 21 but with Steve Lewis taking 3-7, Ben Cole 3-15 and Robert Williams 3-20 the Herbie innings folded.
Cresselly scored 219-7 at home to Haverfordwest after Andrew Harris (53no) and Adam Chandler (55) had added 87 for the second wicket and Ryan Lewis had a lightning innings of 53 from 26 deliveries including six sixes and two fours.
Adam James took 4-42 for the visitors who held on for a draw on 167-9.
Karl Rhead with 54 held the innings together and Simon Holliday returned to the crease after an injury earlier in the match to keep one end secure on 34 not out and Nathan Banner had scored 31.
There were two wickets each for Stefan Jenkins, Sion Jenkins, Lyn Richard and Matthew Morgan.
Whitland scored 178-6 away to St Ishmaels to give their bowlers something to defend following excellent batting by Jonathan Thomas (45no), Paul Davies (41) and David Lee (39).
All-rounder Andrew Williams took 4-46 for Tish who won by eight wickets following a third wickets partnership of 95 between Peter Bradshaw (95no) in harness with Andrew Palmer (28no). Earlier Daniel Howells scored 24.
Division Two
Pembroke Dock were bowled out for 56 away to the leaders Llangwm after Andrew Harries took 4-6 and Darren Brick 2-35.
Chris Boyett top scored on 15 not out.
Llangwm lost four wickets before reaching a winning total of 58 as Jake Davies took 3-15 for the Dock.
Chris Inward scored 25 for Llangwm.
Carew Seconds scored 162-9 at home to Burton after Joe Kidney had scored 37 James Hinchcliffe 33 and David Rees 22.
John Scale and Luke Hayman both took three wickets for the visitors who won by eight wickets with a total of 163-2.
The experienced Phil Sutton was 76 not out and Luke Hayman was also undefeated on 48.
Cresselly Seconds travelled to Haverfordwest where Haverfordwest Seconds reached 142-9 thanks mainly to Stephen Phillips with 69 and Richard Scriven with 20.
Nick Davies took 4-26 for the visitors who won by five wickets with a total of 155-5.
Nick Davies showed his all round prowess with an innings of 40, supported by Scott Arthur with 26 and his cousin Julian Arthur with 20.
Despite the strenuous efforts of the Whitland ground staff following the heavy overnight rain, the Whitland pitch was too wet to allow play to start the match in Division Two between Whitland Seconds and Johnston.
Division Three
Only one match was played in Division Three where second placed Llanrhian narrowed the gap over leaders Pembroke with a seven wickets win over Lamphey who scored 154-8.
Robert Mathias with 39 and skipper Jason Oatley with 31 were the leading scorers for the home team as Matthew Bennett took 3-35 for the visitors.
A fourth wicket partnership of 102 made the difference as Gareth Davies finished on 85 not out with 10 fours and two sixes and Matthew Bennett scored 43 not out.
A combination of rain and wet pitches prevented play for the local derby at Kilgetty where Narberth were the visitors and at Glandy Cross, where Crymych were hoping to resurrect their league campaign at home to Carew Thirds.
Overnight rain also prevented play at Castell Malgwyn in the league fixture between Llechryd and Pembroke.
Division Four
Second placed Hundleton, slipped one place down the table after a heavy defeat away to Camrose and Spittal who totalled 135-7.
Matthew Williams scored 61, Rupert Norman 58 and Martyn Tweedie 48.
Although Chris Stapleton scored 16 for Hundleton, the innings collapsed as Phil Rees took 6-13.
Lawrenny Seconds were bowled out for 71 at home to Llangwm Seconds who won by seven wickets upon reaching 72-3.
Jonathan Beff scored 20 for the Lawrenny team as spinner Alastair Platten took 4-13, Ollie Davies 3-13 and Jason Taylor 3-14.
Paul Morgan with 25 not out led the run chasse as Chris Beff took 2-25.
Cresselly Thirds scored 101 before being dismissed away to Llanrhian Seconds after Steve Wilkins scored 39. Robert John took 3-14 for the Llanrhian team who were bowled out for 93 to give the visitors a win by eight runs.
Philip James took 3-10 and Craig Nightingale 3-24.
Division Five
Haverfordwest Fourths struggled to 78-8 at home to Saundersfoot Seconds. The experienced Andrew Phillips kept things together with 23 not out as Chris Hawkes took 3-13 and Jack Franklin took 2-33.
The Saundersfoot team won by four wickets with Paul Morris on 25 not out and Jack Franklin supporting with 25.
Alice Thomas bowled very well for Haverfordwest Fourths and took 3-4.
Play was possible at Pembroke where Narberth Thirds were the visitors and the players returned home smiling after inflicting a nine wickets defeat on second placed Pembroke Seconds.
Excellent bowling by Sean Thomas with 5-11, backed up by Alun Phillips with 2-13 and Daniel Hughes with 2-18 resulted in Pembroke Seconds being bowled out for 73.
The experienced Spencer Harries controlled his natural attacking instincts to try to keep the Pembroke innings together and was 34 not out at the end.
Narberth Thirds reached 75-1 in reply thanks mainly to both opening batsmen Sam Mills who was 33 not out and Kail Keane with 29.
Division Five leaders St Clears were unable to pursue their campaign for promotion to Division Four at St Florence, where a wet pitch prevented play as it did at Llanddewi Velfrey where Whitland Thirds were home to Herbrandston Seconds.
Division Six
Second placed Pembroke Dock Seconds reached 150-9 at home to Burton Thirds.
All-rounder John Davies scored 45 and Malcolm Morris34 not out as Joel Codd took 3-14 for the Burton team.
Although Ben Huxley scored 25, excellent bowling by Neil Hallett with 4-23 and Peter Kingdom with 3-29, resulted in the visitors being dismissed for 103.
Hundleton Seconds were home to league leaders Camrose and Spittal Seconds and scored 146-8, with David Isaac scoring 51 and Matthew Freeman 34.
Paul Edwards and David Pratt both took two wickets for Hundleton who were bowled out in reply for 94. David Lockyear (21) was the only batsman to exceed 20.
Gelly James took 5-17 for the leaders.
Llechryd Seconds won by seven wickets away to Stackpole Seconds who were held to a total of 95-8.
Phil Tallett was the pick of the batsmen with 25 as John Curran took 3-20 and skipper Tom Beard 2-7.
The in form Michael Carter finished on 32 not out for the visitors backed up by Mark Newell with 32 to take Llechryd Seconds o a winning total of 96-3. Rupert Davies took 3-27 for the Stackpole side.
Crymych Seconds picked up their fourth win of the season after amassing 171 before being bowled out away to Llanrhian Thirds at St Davids.
Bill Gray top scored for the visitors with 45 as Ieuan Jenkins took 4-49 for the home team.
Top class bowling by Bleddyn Williams with 3-10 and Alan Luke with 3-21 prevented any Llanrhian batsman from settling down and Llanrhian Thirds were dismissed for 62.
Lamphey Seconds were without a scheduled fixture.
