The monthly meeting of the Pembroke Borough Townswomen's Guild took place at St. John's Community Hall, Pembroke Dock, on Wednesday, January 11.

The chairman (Mrs. Sheila Rowlands) wished everyone a happy and healthy new year.

Guest speaker for the evening was Elaine Thomas, who gave a wonderful talk, of her experience of working as a professional dancer at the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris.

It was a very interesting and exciting time in her life. Music, leaflets and photographs were provided so members could see the exotic costumes that were worn (or not worn).

Mrs. Kathy Harries gave the vote of thanks.

The annual dinner was due to take place last Wednesday at the Coach House, Pembroke.

A coffee morning has been arranged for Wednesday, February 22, from 9 am - 1 pm, at the Town Hall, Pembroke.

The booking has been made at the Torch Theatre for Tuesday, March 20, to see Me and My Girl.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 8, at 7.30 pm. New members are always welcome!
