At their meeting last Thursday evening, members of the club very much enjoyed a members' evening consisting of readings of their own choice on the theme of Love and Marriage. Those taking part were Carola Robins, Dorothy Berry, Dorothy Street, Margery Rees, Pam Davison, Jim Lloyd, Rhoda Hodes, Norma Shaw, Sheila Smith and Nesta Neil. The programme was arranged and introduced by Joan Bell. The previous week, Mr. Snelgove had given a fascinating talk on the History of Pub Names, while yesterday (Thursday) evening, Rev. Anthony Bailey was due to give a talk on Art in Churches (ARCH). Members who wish to attend the Club Christmas Party on December 7, should let the secretary know as soon as possible.
