Paul Heywood, of Saundersfoot, is this year's unofficial British Butchers' Champion Golfer.
He recently took the title from Dai Thomas, of Kilgetty, who was hoping for a hat-trick of victories, having won in Bristol in 2000 and Waterford in 2002.
Paul played very steadily throughout the 54-hole tournament held on the Herefordshire courses of Ross-on-Wye and Belmont Lodge plus the nearby Rolls of Monmouth.
Apparently there are about 2,000 golfing butchers in the United Kingdom, but South Pembrokeshire has two of the best.
Jim Fleming and Tim Rowe also enjoy the game, the latter being one of the best left-handed butchers in the area!
Dai hands the Butcher's Block trophy to Paul.
