Plans to increase parking prices at Tenby's multi- storey car park are to be fought by town councillors. Following the release of Pembrokeshire County Council's 'off street parking places' variation draft order for the county, local councillors have been left unhappy with plans to increase fees at the multi-storey. "This is a big blow to the people of the town who use this parking facility all year round for work purposes; I'm sure nobody will be happy with this," remarked Clr. Mike Evans, who suggested setting up a meeting with other parties in the town, such as the Chamber of Trade and TWTRA, to discuss the matter. "It doesn't make sense," said Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown. "All this time has been spent trying to persuade people that there is a facility to park outside of town and now it seems that all the work will be undone." Councillors agreed that they should consult a professional planner over the issue.
